well, my embrace of technology continues to grow warmer and wider. Movable Type v3.0 is installed, configured and very nearly formatted on (coincidentally) noveltimes.com v3.0. my thoughts will soon be broadcast to a very wide audience. forget the wide part, my thoughts will soon be broadcast to an audience!
it has been some time since I was in the habit of writing in a public forum. nearly eight years have past since I co-wrote the column, “The Weekly Phenomenon”, for the Cook College Green Print with my fellow freak-a-zoid Alec Bauer. (I later took over full editorial duties.) that was an incredibly rewarding (and humbling) experience. I’m still shocked that the powers-that-were let Alec and I spew forth about the inane esoteria as we did. maybe I’ll post some of the old columns if I think about it sometime.
looking forward, I am eager to sculpt the written word once again. not only is it an ever-important exercise in self-expression that I have mostly neglected as of late; writing – true, honest writing, that is – neccessitates the critical analysis of direct experience which holds so much treasure for the interior traveller. I’m really to strike gold, even if it takes me a while to find the map.
a note on noveltimes.com v3.0: this relaunc exemplifies my techological embrace as well as the continued evolution of my web skills. v3.0 is an entirely tableless layout. yes, that’s right, NO TABLES! in addition, this site is XHTML 1.0 transitional and CSS1 compliant. to read more about the advantages of this new web paradigm (as well as the sexiness of it all), check out www.alistapart.com. you’ll like it there.
